For the Creation of Pieces from Fiber: I use small stems of grass growing in the fields of Cuba, which are cut, dried and colored, I also use my own natural elements such as oils, temperas and watercolors to create a visual work that goes beyond drawing itself. The use of the herb known as male espartillo, which belongs to the grass family, allows me to give each work a personal and unique touch, which even I as the artist cannot reproduce. For the Creation of Oil Paintings: After mounting the canvas on the stretcher, I do a charcoal drawing which I then set with a watery oil. After preparing the canvas, I prepare a matrix with different textures. By using the fiber, for example, submit to the inking process, and with the fabric, is passed through the press, the name given engraving machine. After this stage, and with the printed image on the web, it is mounted on the frame again for finishing. Thus I give my work a single element and an own label, making a wealth of transparencies and adding elements of fiber in oil paintings.
