My work moves mainly between photography, sculpture and video. To do this, I start by making wooden or cardboard models, creating scenarios to later photograph, film or simply display them as sculptural objects. I start from the analysis of my own memory and mental states in relation to architectural spaces. I believe that memories are not a faithful representation of events, but rather a construction of the individual, a new reality. That is why my work often uses codes related to the scenic and theatrical. I represent empty or closed spaces, absent of color. For me they function as a kind of container that allows me to establish relationships with what is not visible more than with what is shown; and this obsession with emptiness is related, perhaps, to the loneliness that represents that mental space where we live and in which we are all hopelessly alone. ---- Mi trabajo se mueve entre la fotografía, la escultura y el video principalmente. Para ello parto de la realización de maquetas de madera o cartón, creando escenarios para luego fotografiarlos, filmarlos o simplemente exhibirlos como objetos escultóricos. Parto del análisis de mi propia memoria y estados mentales en relación a los espacios arquitectónicos. Creo que los recuerdos no son una representación fiel de los sucesos, sino una construcción del individuo, una nueva realidad. Por eso a menudo mi trabajo utiliza códigos relacionados a lo escénico y lo teatral. Represento los espacios vacíos o cerrados, ausentes de color. Para mí éstos funcionan como una espacie de contenedor que me permite establecer relaciones con aquello que no es visible más que con lo que se muestra; y esta obsesión por el vacío está relacionada, quizás, a la soledad que supone ese espacio mental donde vivimos y en el que todos estamos irremediablemente solos.
