Harvesting for Sothebys (Cosechando Para Sothebys)

Cosechando Para Sothebys es una obra que formó parte de una exposición que en el año 2009 se realize como homenaje a Van Gogh (dicha nuestra estuvo auspiciada por la embajada de Holanda en Cuba). Yo participe con este diptico donde represente en una pieza (la superior) la obra del propio Van Gogh. El Sembrador. La pieza (debajo) que la completa muestra el interior de la tierra y las flores como semillas (simbolo de esperanza) que brotan de ella esas flores tienen monedas reales (simbolo de riqueza), al igual que la figura del sembrador.

Si partimos que lamentablemente Van Gogh murió en la más absoluta miseria, pero la historia le hizo justicia y su obra está altamente cotizada.

Hago alusión a una de las subastas de arte (Sothebys) más importantes pues en definitiva su legado, su cosecha es la obra de arte más inmortal creada por un artista.

Harvesting For Sothebys is a work that was part of an exhibition in 2009, carried out as an homage to Van Gogh (and sponsored by the Dutch embassy in Cuba). I participated with this diptych, the top piece of which represents the work of Van Gogh himself. The Sower. The piece below shows the complete interior of the earth and flowers as seeds (a symbol of hope) and the flowers that grow from it have real coins (symbol of wealth), like the figure of the sower. In the end unfortunately Van Gogh died in abject poverty, but the story did it justice and his work is highly prized. I allude to one of the most important art auctions (Sotheby's) because ultimately one’s legacy, one’s harvest, is the most immortal work of art created by an artist.
